Greenwich Nannies
For Nannies
Doula training builds directly on what nannies already do well — being calm in someone else’s home at the hardest hour of their week. This programme adds the newborn and postpartum side of that work to the skills you have.
You already know how a household runs under pressure. You already handle feeding, sleep, siblings and a tired parent in the kitchen at 4pm. Doula work is the same instinct pointed at an earlier moment — the weeks around a birth, when families are at their least organised and most grateful for someone competent.
Most nannies who train as doulas aren’t leaving nannying. They are widening the range of work they can say yes to, and the kind of family that comes looking for them.

We are not going to put a number on this page about what you will earn. Doula work is paid per client, it varies enormously by area and availability, and anyone showing you a figure is guessing at your life.
What this is: professional development. A qualification, added to experience you already have, that lets you take on work you currently can’t. What you do with that is genuinely up to you.
No. Most people do both, and the combination is what makes them valuable.
No. Doulas provide practical and emotional support. They do not provide clinical or medical care.
We can’t promise placements. You’ll be part of a community of Greenwich families who are actively looking for help, which is a real advantage, but it isn’t a guarantee of work.
Enrolment, course access and the support described above. Anything the provider charges separately is listed in the credential section.
